You are on floor 1.
To your left you will find the Textile Collection, the Nativity Scenes Collection, and down the stairs to the Albertas Chapel.
On your right, the Portuguese Furniture Collection.
We apologise for the inconvenience but the room "Saint Albert Chapel" is temporarily closed due to the restoration of the chapel.
WHAT SHOULD YOU SEE?
If you want to know more about each work click on the image (video) and/or on the legend (text).
When you are done, go to floors 2 (Art from the Portuguese’s expansion, Ceramics, Gold smithery and Jewellery) and 3 (Portuguese Painting and Sculpture). You may use the stairs or take the elevator next to the entrance of the Portuguese Furniture Room. Up the stairs to floor 2, turn left to the Art From the Portuguese Discoveries, where you will find pieces that illustrate the encounter of the Portuguese with other cultures, at the time of the Discoveries.
Finishing, go back down to the 1st level, and go around the stairs towards the Museum store.
Take the opportunity to buy some souvenirs.
As you leave the store you will enter the Alvor Palace (17th century).
Start by visiting the European Decorative Arts Collections.
Now cross the palace atrium and visit the European Painting Collections.
At the end of the visit enjoy a meal or a drink at the Museum restaurant and relax in the garden with a magnificent view over Lisbon and the Tagus River.
